F unit detail pictures
Author: riss2509

Hello everyone! Was wondering if anyone has some decent detail shots of an F9 or fuel tank? I am starting a winter build of the BN executive F9 A and B units using Genesis powered frames and Highliners undecorated shells. I have since picked up the Details West detailing kit for the F A and B units, and working on some custom parts for the units to be done via 3D printing. My question(s) is this, Does anyone have decent underframe pictures of an F unit for detailing ( fuel tank specifically ). And it has been sometime since I've been out to IRM but is the undeframe / trucks of the BN executive F's black or Grinstein green also? Thanks in advance!

the trucks and tanks were black. Don't forget that BN1 and 2 have dash 2 trucks under them that is why the draft gear had to be moved and the extensions built on the ends of the car bodies.
I still remember when I saw them for the first time on their first trip at Solomon Ks with the Eisenhower Special.

Thanks guys! I will be acquiring the new sideframes shortly. Lastly, it will be in figuring out the best way to go about the extended walkways. I've looked at doing 3D printing as a 2 piece set or attempt styrene. Lastly would be a good distance to use so they wont bind on curves.
