Model Railroading > Rapido blog - Adventures in the UKDate: 11/26/14 08:42 Rapido blog - Adventures in the UK Author: rapidotrains Hi all,
Bill and I just got back from a crazy week across the Atlantic. I've written a blog that covers the trip as well as some exceptional model railroading over there. It can be read at: http://www.rapidotrains.com/blog/2014/11/26/1159/ Thanks for looking! Jason Date: 11/26/14 09:40 Re: Rapido blog - Adventures in the UK Author: cpcnguy I always enjoy your updates. Thanks Jason.

Is it any coincidence that the interior of that train car looks like a control panel from Star Trek The Next Generation? I rest my case!
Ok I'm a long time ST fan but mmm just enough Dr. Who to be dangerous! I plan on having my own adventures in the UK in the not too distant future. Will be riding with my Geordie wife from Newcastle to London and back, and visit a local MR club while in the Newcastle area. I'm hoping we can get to the National Railway Museum in York but time will be limited, not to mention funds. Cheers, Jim Fitch Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/26/14 10:44 by SPDRGWfan. As much as I love my Scotch, I'd put Penderyn in my top 5!! Chris UK.

If travelling by rail in the UK, check out the BritRail pass. It's MUCH cheaper than buying tickets individually, as long as you have a non-UK passport. http://www.britrail.com -Jason Date: 11/26/14 14:24 Re: Rapido blog - Adventures in the UK Author: SPDRGWfan We've already bought our tickets, but we got a decent deal. Seats are booked!
Aye they are! I do remember ordering the A patches back in the early 1970's after the ST:TOS was cancelled and into re-runs. Trekkies have come a looooong way since then! Cheers, Jim Fitch |
