Charles is DEFINITELY one of the most talented modellers I've ever met.

Thanks for sharing the link to his SP/WP layout website - it sure is gorgeous!

Very nice. One doesn't see Sacramento Northern models very often. This was my "entertrainment" for the day!

Is this by chance 'THE' Charles Smiley that produces RR videos and has one level of voice in his narrations ??

Yes it is! Doesn't sound like your much of a fan. It's OK, some like his movies, and some don't. One thing I can say about all of his DVDs, is he gives you real information that you can use as a modeler and a rail historian/rail fan. As opposed to many of these so call "producers" that never put in a map, picture, history, narration or anything of value in their productions. They just waggle a camera around and plunk, plunk, plunk shots together. His movies are made from a modelers perspective. You actually come away learning something!

WOW!!! Not only is that some incredible modeling, but the photography is exquisite too! As a railfan I've always greatly enjoyed his videos. I had no idea he was auch an incredible modeler too!

I actually like all his videos a LOT. However, he needs to contract with a different person for taking care of the narration. MANY have stated that--not just me! As a matter of fact, I provided a LOT of the film material for several of his DVD's on SP and WP. I also provided most of the film and was a Technical Consultant for his most popular video: KEY SYSTEM EMPIRE .... Ok ??
In closing, attached is a rare photo for Sir Smiley for all to know what he looks like. It really surprised me. I thought he was younger !!

Cheers.

I like the Smiley videos, have several of them. Always very informative, and well done. To me, the voice is what I have come to expect in these videos, something that makes them unique. Keep them coming!!

I was born in Walnut Creek, so it is always a treat whenever I see that location modeled. What a great looking layout!!

I too have quite a few of his DVD's. I always come away with something extra every time I watch one.
