I had the pleasure of visiting this remarkable place some years ago.As well as the live steam operation,they make Peco track just next door.

Yes,I believe it was.Not sure if I have a better pic of it.You could probably get a good look at the site on google maps.Search for Pecorama,Seaton ,Devon.England .That should do it.

The little boy on the fence appears to be very impatient about getting his turn to ride the train!

Sure does look like a turntable. While assigned to RAF Greenham Commom during the late 80's, I had the pleasure of helping at one of the UK's public parks (near Reading) and our operation included a turntable to turn our engine, run up to the head shunt for water/coal and then back down against our train for next run out into the park.

If you look at two things in that pix the track ends at the white fence just beyond where the turntable is and look also at the rear car facing the camera it has the identical herald on it so after the engine is turned hooks back onto it outbound. Very nice track work by the way and layout in general.

This RR ran in "Live Steam" magazine within the last few years. Gotta love the name of "Beer Heights Railway!"
