Model Railroading > TARDIS drone

I hope it's not too early for another from the TARDIS (thanks, Chris, aka 55002) drone series. Here a nimble J train has taken the siding to let an empty grainer pass on the main. Similar settings as last time, about 250 feet high, summer 1996.

I think when the dispatcher saw the X was later to the meet than anticipated, he routed the J into the hole. That way the J only had to wait while the X rolled by at 50 instead of waiting while it slowed to 20 for the switch and get its 5500 ft to get into the clear. Maybe he's too smart to work for the railroad, thinking it all through and stuff.
