Model Railroading > Mid-train slaves in HODate: 02/27/15 14:28 Mid-train slaves in HO Author: SOU3921 Caught a northbound empty grain train, looks like the chief dispatcher put two empties together today with mid-train slaves. A shame for the crew one brand new C40-9W and another year old are the mid-train power. They get the trusty SD40-2 and some older GEs on the front end.
Movie taken at Altavista VA, where the old N&W and Southern built a connection track. Notice the CPLs on the N&W side and the Southern Style signal bridge on the ex-Southern main. Regards, Bobby Posted from Android Date: 02/27/15 16:19 Re: Mid-train slaves in HO Author: sphauler Very impressive. I love the weathering on the engines. The high hood U boat is my favorite. The bench work and track appear to be top notch. Fine work and thanks for sharing.

Date: 02/27/15 16:39 Re: Mid-train slaves in HO Author: SOU3921 Thanks for the comments. I will take some more videos. Here's another one from today, I love B-boats, and there incessant clunking, so here's B30-7A1 with newly installed sound and LEDs on the shakedown run, working Cargill before it got assigned to the previous grain train. I absolutely love the cast Nathan P5 horn on the loksounds..it's awesome!
*Just in case you are wondering the tag in this video says "Busick", and in the previous video I referenced Altavista, the layout pranksters made an appearance and swapped some tags around. Made for much more excitement when no-one knew where they were really at. Time to get out pee-cups for the crew. Cooper Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/27/15 17:02 by SOU3921. Is it Atlas with the decoder swapped out? Date: 02/28/15 07:54 Re: Mid-train slaves in HO Author: SOU3921 Correct, it started life as an Altas B23-7, it's had some C30-7 grills and doors grafted into the shell.
