Model Railroading > brake release on athearn genesis f7 with tsunami decodeDate: 03/01/15 04:43 brake release on athearn genesis f7 with tsunami decode Author: schneid If I press f11 once the brakes are applied, but when I try to release the brakes pressing f11 again I can't hear it. I have tried to adjust cv140, but to no avail. In the manual for cv137-152 it has several bites, but it doesn't tell me which one is for cv140. Or do I just enter a number for cv140?(which doesn't help.
Any help would be appreciated. So what I found was that break squeal and brake release are controlled with F9. Which is not what the Tsumami Diesel guide says. It may have to do with these factory decoders being somewhat stripped down.
Also, to get F9 to work as a brake function you have to program CV's 3 and 4. Say to 30, and CV61 say to 10. Then when you push F9 the loco will stop slowly with break squeal. There is also a break squeal sensitivity setting. I believe it's CV196 but you'll want to double check that. Chris Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/02/15 20:17 by ChrisCampi. |
