Model Railroading > Microscale Amtrak VeteranDate: 03/04/15 07:51 Microscale Amtrak Veteran Author: Chestnut Hello I'm looking for Microscale decals in HO for the Amtrak P42 Veterans unit. I checked Microscale and they are out of stock. Does anyone know where I can get a set? I checked Walthers and they don't even have it shown. Thanks!

Microscale was forced to destroy every set of these decals they made.
Cheers, Nick Date: 03/04/15 08:30 Re: Microscale Amtrak Veteran Author: Chestnut Well that sucks thanks guys

This doesn't make a lot of sense! Date: 03/04/15 14:50 Re: Microscale Amtrak Veteran Author: KA7008 All it takes is for someone to promise a royalty or "donation" to xyz charity/wounded warrior/VA etc. For each unit sold and suddenly, the impossible becomes possible. Never say never.

You're exactly right though as I asked Kato a year or so ago if they had thought about doing the Veterans unit and got the same answer. If a unit were done I would gladly run it in the lead of every Amtrak train on the railroad and never weather it. It would have the upmost respect of all of my locomotives.

Because Microscale was so arrogant that they didn't think that the rules applied to them. DOD didn't want money. Just right of approval. Been that way for decades...
