Model Railroading > Virginian 2-6-6-6Date: 03/27/15 07:51 Virginian 2-6-6-6 Author: bnsftim Got it off lay away yesterday boy what a nice locomotive. I ran it up and down the diarama not much room because of it's massive size. Rivarossi did a great job though.

The detail is beautiful and the running qualities are superb. I do wish that I had the MTH sound and synchronized smoke to go with it though. Would be interesting to see the two side by side to see which is the nicer model.

"Dear Mr. Thank you very much for your interest in our products. For items produced before 2005/2006 we unfortunately cannot deliver spares or accessory parts. We can only deliver spares or accessory parts for items that have been produced by us. Their item numbers usually start with HR (Rivarossi), HL (Lima), HN (Arnold), E/EL (Electrotren) or HJ (Jouef). Your local retailer will be happy to help you. Nevertheless you can also call or write to your national distributor who stocks spare parts: www.hornbyinternational.com/en/19-dealers Some Hornby subsidiaries also offer spares in their webshop – e.g. www.hornby.it The following websites may be helpful, too: · www.agomodel.it/template.php?pag=38488 · www.modellbahn-pietsch.de/modelleisenbahn-H0/rivarossi-ersatzteile-2w · www.rivarossi-memory.it · www.arnold-ersatzteile.de · www.hornbyspares.com · http://lestrainsjouef.free.fr Best Regards; CUSTOMER CARE" Hop this helps. FYI, I've owned all five of Rivarossi's flagship American models from the 'Red Box' 1995-1996 50th Anniversary series ( UP Big Boy, UP Challenger, SP Cab Forward, NW Mallet and Two-Truck Heisler). When Rivarossi released these, they upgraded the drive system to a can motor assembly installed in the boiler (instead of the previous motor-in-the-cab design). Say what you will, but these models ran smoothly at ALL speeds and the amount of detail was more than satisfactory to this modeller.
