EMD 1201 meet WowDiesel

Got the WowDiesel installed in EMD 1201.  What do you all think of those new decoders?  Any shortcomings?  I like the sound of the grade crossing sequence that was in the video.

Sounds good...but an engineer operating that loco can't feather the horn like that.

I thought they could slightly?  Laying on slowly to the lever I thought would limit some of the air going to the horn causing a quill effect even on diesels.

In the older days, yes you could. Now it is an electronic button, all on or all off.

I have noticed on some of the engines that I run (real AC4400s) that sometimes not all the chimes sound at the same time, or at the same loudness. It does sometimes sound like it is being quilled. I much prefer running the older SD and GP units where I can control it though.
