Author: eminence_grise Be interesting to model to say the least, brings a whole new meaning to double stack. Caught on the tail end of a CN Herzog ballast train on CN's Clearwater Sub. in British Columbia.

THAT-L-DO Date: 03/28/15 08:21 Re: So you want to run double stacks do you... Author: HB90MACH A couple years ago I got a great deal on athearn 5 wells. They came from somebodys collection and in various states of condition. So I examined each one and the worst were used for parts to fix and complete the rest. I have a couple wells left that were the donors. Now I know what to do with them. Wreck damage and do this with them.

CN likes to run a lot of their stack trains in the 12000 foot (sometimes more) range, and I've seen many of them with stacks front and rear and a bunch of baretables midtrain. Heavy hand on the brake at the wrong time could do that to this well car I bet. Darren Boes Lethbridge, AB Southern Alberta Railfan Date: 03/28/15 10:08 Re: So you want to run double stacks do you... Next trick, loading some containers into that top well car. Greg |
