Model Railroading > Conrail Onondaga Cutoff: What's on Your Workbench?Date: 04/22/15 06:52 Conrail Onondaga Cutoff: What's on Your Workbench? Author: RGDave Modeling the Conrail Chicago Line in the 1990's means we need plenty of Conrail power, and quite a bit of run-through power too. I have had a few locomotives in line for the Onondaga Cutoff awaiting weathering for a few weeks. I did some extra detailing on each, and finally made time this week to get the final steps of dullcoat and airbrushing finished up. Here's what's on my workbench!
1. Four units got the treatment: home road Conrail GP40-2 3312 (Athearn Genesis), C&NW SD50 7028 (Athearn RTR), C&NW SD40-2 6864 (Intermountain), and AT&SF GP50 3853 (Athearn Genesis). My weathering here is a combination of enamels, acrylics, pastel chalks, dullcoat and airbrushing finishes. 2. Close up of the engineer's side of CR 3312. 3. Close up of the engineer's side roofline of C&NW 7028. Enjoy! ~RGDave www.onondagacutoff.blogspot.com Date: 04/22/15 07:19 Re: Conrail Onondaga Cutoff: What's on Your Workbench?
