F7B for my San Joaquin
Author: SPED

The San Joaquin trash train is almost complete. In between steam painting projects I went diesel! It's a Highliner with the modified fuel tank, skirts and M.U. cables. It has a Soundtraxx model MC2H104P9 decoder, I added a hostler light also.

The tank is modified. I added another around the original, now I can't remember where I got it, may have been in a junk box or a leftover.

Nice work.  I presume the porthole with hinges is for the hostler.  Where do I look for the hostler light?

Thank you, here's a better picture, the photo lamp overpowered the Hostler lamp in the second photo of the original post.

I like the model of the SP homebuilt 7/8ths dome in Streamliner colors.  Is that brass or did you scratchbuild it?

The dome is a brassie from The Coach Yard, I added propane tanks, battery boxes, and paint. I have another CY smooth-side (in General Service paint) that I change out for something a little different now and then.

Ed,

Very nice work I like it.  Interesting hosteler light, not sure I recall seeing it like that I'm more used to the typical headlight that some roads
had for hostler operation.

This was typical for the Espee, I only work from photographs.
