Model Railroading > Heavy action on the PRR yesterdayDate: 05/24/15 06:55 Heavy action on the PRR yesterday Author: bobdavis At one point during yesterday's operating session on my HO PRR "Blue Mountain Division" in central Pennsylvania, we had three trains in sight at the same time. The I1 Decapod is pushing westbound symbol freight BM-1A up to "Sideling Summit", where local BM-12 with the GP7 is waiting at the end of double track. Down below at the bottom of the grade, the next westbound, Hagerstown, MD - Pittsburgh symbol HP-5, waits for the helper to come back down the hill. Since the local was on "short time", I let him come down first, followed by the light helper. It was hectic at times, but that sort of thing adds to the fun!
