Model Railroading > Last Day To See Golden Gate Model Railroad In SF

We are located in the basement of the Randall Museum in the Miraloma Heights area of San Francisco.

The museum will be closed for remodeling on June 1st, not to open again until September, 2016.

Our last public operation day will be Saturday, May 30th from 10 to 4 PM.

We are trying to work out an agreement with SF Park and Rec. to enable the layout to remain.

Hopefully we will still be part of the museum when it reopens.

 In photo # 3, did the club hand lay the track and and scratch build the switches? my friend did just that and he swore never to do it again...

The layout was constructed in 1961. It does appear that some of the trackage, especially in the dual gauge area, was hand laid.
