Now with NS takeing the SD80"s and SD90's from CSX and UP what are the chances oaf Athearn or ?? making them in ho

Being Kato already makes both, I would say slim to none.

I would second that notion. But I would also say it would probably be longer for them to actually produce the paint schemes than it would be for a custom painter.

Athearn does have the old Railpower Products SD90MAC shell tooling in their collection...

GP35, SD40, and SD45, I believe.

Probably the CF7 models are RPP shells as well.

All in the RTR line and several years old, of the last couple year's releases of new models what have used the old tooling?

Would fully expect that if Athearn were to do the SD80/90 locomotives they'd do all new tooling and they'd be part of the Genesis line.

Definitely, along with the GP40X, GP60M, and GP60B.  Other than the GP40X, Athearn has done recent runs of the other three.
