Model Railroading > scratchbuilding model slugsDate: 06/26/15 11:07 scratchbuilding model slugs Author: LandN1971 Any of you "older" modlers has any suggestion
about what type of plastic to use to shape into a slug body ???? I want to make some slugs like the L&N used. BUT, want a plastic material that can be sanded into that shape............. Thanks JLSeale Date: 06/26/15 11:42 Re: scratchbuilding model slugs Author: CPR_4000 If you're modeling those L&N slugs with the rounded tops that were rebuilt from RS3's, you might want to start with an RS3 shell, sand off the details you don't need, and lower the height.

Just use some Evergreen sheet plastic to fill in where the cab was. Oh and post pictures as you build please Date: 06/26/15 14:30 Re: scratchbuilding model slugs Author: MojaveBill Styrene...
