Model Railroading > wow diesel sound decoder -questionDate: 07/30/15 19:20 wow diesel sound decoder -question Author: Charls Hi guys, are the TCS WOW diesel sound decoder have resistance built-in for using 1.5v bulbs or we need to add a resistance to each lead, nothing is said on the instruction unless not showing any in the diagram means that they are incude on the board already
Thanks Charls Date: 07/30/15 19:55 Re: wow diesel sound decoder -question Author: barrydraper None of the WOW decoders have any on-board resistors for either LEDs or 1.5 volt bulbs (yet). If you want to use 1.5 vo;t bulbs you can either calculate and install your own resistors, or use the TCS VR1.5 voltage regulator to supply 1.5 volts to all the bulbs.
Barry Draper Date: 07/31/15 03:19 Re: wow diesel sound decoder -question Author: bnsf70mac I found that a lot of the LEDs are now 3.3 volts so 1.5 volts wont work to light them. Just be aware what volt your LEDs are.

Yes these were bought awhile back but I still use them.
