moloco Art again, Don't switch off they Are different!!!
Author: kangaroose

During the process of research, artwork creation and convincing the pad printers they are the same plates we conceded that these are DIFFERENT paint schemes. For some crazy reason MODX, WADX were lettered differently. Some of the side lettering and most of the end lettering is unique to each. We've reflected that with our typically meticulous research and execution.

For those modeling later era some of these schemes lasted intact essentially, but with patch painted reporting marks to MP and N&W.

Anyway there are the 5 schemes being released.

TT,

MODX and WADX are reporting marks for the ART Co. The two partner railraods were Missouri Pacific and Wabash (later N&W). Therefore some of the cars were lettered to reflect the split between eventual ownership. MODX being for Mopac and the WADX for Wabash. The Ds standing for loader equipped.

One of the reasons they did this was to pool equipment, so it was just as likely to see either set of reporting marks on both roads. Nick
