The Roundhouse is a great place to stop a visit, very ecletic selection, with some new, some older pre-owned stuff that is hard to find.  Pricing is also in the ranger of really good to okay.

The other major hobby store is "Scale Reproductions," which is just about a 10 min drive from "The Roundhouse."  Scale Repro is all new stuff, but carries a large selection of HO, supplies, paints, magazines ect etc.  If you have a couple hours to spare I would hit them both.  Scale Repro is open until 7:00 on weeknights.
