October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and ExactRail is proud to release the HO Scale Johnstown America Autoflood II in Ameren/UCEX's Breast Cancer Awareness paint scheme.  Proceeds from the sale of this car will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

In 2014, Ameren Missouri repainted a single car from its fleet of 3463 coal hoppers into a unique paint scheme to promote breast cancer awareness.  This car features a bright pink ribbon and the slogan ‘On Track for the Cure.’ ExactRail, in cooperation with Ameren, is proud to offer a limited release replica of this important paint scheme!  Moreover, we applaud Ameren’s social consciousness for women’s health issues.
 
Ameren is a Fortune 500 company that powers the quality of life for 900,000 natural gas customers and 2.4 million electric customers.  The name ‘Ameren’ is a combination of the words American and Energy.   Ameren is the largest electric power provider in Missouri, and in terms of total customers, the third largest natural gas distributer in Illinois.

UCEX 2014 “On Track for the Cure” was developed in partnership with the Ameren Corporation.  The artwork files for our model used many of the actual lettering files and color swatches for Ameren prototype.   But more than being a highly accurate replica, this model benefits a good cause.

I've seen this car in my train at least once while looking in the mirror on curves, so will be a cool model going towards a good cause.

What train or  trains would this car run in? Would this car run in Burlington Northern Santa Fe coal trains or 
Union Pacific coal trains?

If only if only could these Autoflood cars could be done in N scale. One could dream.

Russ when the girfrield caught 2014 in the unit train, it was UP power with the second unit being 2010.

Really wish it had been N scale as well would have got both. Wonder if UCEX 2015 could be in the future possibly? I've thought about putting together a small unit train in N scale with these cars.

It's a UP train that runs from Wyoming to the Ameren plant in West Labadie, Missouri.  Here it is rolling through Topeka, KS on 1/12/2014.

Very strange to have a a coal hopper promoting cancer awareness since the burning of coal is one of the causes of cancer.

And I thought I was TO's ranking thread killer! ;-)

A conundrum to be sure. As is encouraging model railroaders to embrace progressive social issues. Right on, Blaine. My pink hopper should be in the mailbox. It'll continue to be a dialogue starter.

Nice to see this image of this car promoting the awareness of BC.  I just hope the low-life taggers never get ahold of it or the UCEX 2015 and make miserable cases of either one.
