Tangent 4180 Airslides

I got my Tangent 4180 Airslide covered hopper yesterday. B&O version. What a fantastic model. A very welcome model for HO modelers.

Got that right! Thorough research and attention to the littlest things are what set his cars apart.

The only downside is his stuff makes all my other rolling stock look like crap...<grin>

Ever seen Moloco?  Genesis?  the high end of Exactrail? .... its' a tie for first place.

A pair of BNSF sand hopps arrived at my door step last night as well. Earlier than the anticipated "December 3rd" delivery date too! Models look top notch, just like the photos on Tangents site. The Walthers models I had sitting on the shelf for a future upgrade are history now. Thank you Tangent!

No it's not.

Moloco?  Yes.  It is the Australian version of Tangent...i.e. Moloco kicks ass just like Tangent.

Exactrail and Genesis?  Not even close.  They're in a tie for last place.

well I just happen to have models of both manufacturers out of the box on this unusually mild pre-turkey day in beautiful Western Pennsylvania. Now I'm no rivet counter or expert in the field, but I've been in the hobby long enough to recognize a superior product when I see it. And both of these freight cars fall into that category. Take a look - what do you think?
