Model Railroading > ScaleTrains.com BoxcarsDate: 01/31/16 12:54 ScaleTrains.com Boxcars Author: judahrice I picked up a couple ScaleTrains.com boxcars yesterday, and I am very impressed at the quality of them, especially for the low price. For $12.50 a car, you really can't beat the detail. Even though it's molded on, I doesn't look like it once you do some weathering and such. Attached are some 'before and after' shots.
1) The car that you recieve out of the box 2) Lightly weathered up, it looks even more believable 3) The first car in other road number, with even heavier weathering. I plan to rust these cars, and add some road grime and other minor details, but overall these cars are a fantastic addition to any HO scale rolling stock collection. I highly recommend ScaleTrains.com boxcars. I can't wait to see what else they announce this year, and they already have an exciting array of products lined up for this year... thank you, Judah Date: 01/31/16 14:59 Re: ScaleTrains.com Boxcars Author: philhoov I posted on another thread about this, but these cars are pretty amazing, especially for the $14 (or so) price direct from ScaleTrains.
I ordered three and got them in 3 days, which is really fast shipping these days. It took a few minutes/each to assemble them. Nice quality, they look great, and roll smoothly. Very pleased with ScaleTrains and anxious to get my museum quality turbine. Phil Date: 01/31/16 15:58 Re: ScaleTrains.com Boxcars Author: TheInstigator Now thats nice ! No Grafetti works for me
