Model Railroading > Photos from West Springfield.

I just returned from the ARS show at W. Springfield and I managed to take quite a few photos.  The full gallery is here:

A few highlights:

1) Tangent's new 60' GSC bulkhead flats.
2) Scale Trains new 53' intermodal containers (I believe these are the N scale versions).
3) The New England RPM booth where I spent most of my time.  If you're in New England on June 3rd and 4th this year, consider attending!

Great pics Chris!  Thanks a lot.  Bowser did a good job on those SD40-2s... best one done in plastic so far by a long shot.  They put a lot of work into them, obviously.  It's great to see Atlas going for some fine scale handrails for their locomotives (much needed.)  MTH did a great job on the 2-axle Blomberg trucks... Wow.  Scale Trains in the HOUSE baby!  Rapido in the house.  Tangent in the house.  Otherwise some great modeling by some really talented people...

The ScaleTrains containers look really nice.  Modern fans should be happy with those; when I train watch in my area I see similar containers on trains going by.

About the only item from Springfield announcements on my radar are the nice looking Tangent bulkhead flat cars.  I've been wanting new, more accurate bulkhead flat cars appropriate for western 1970's for the past few years so GN car is a good fit, along with the WOT SP cars coming in a couple months.
