(I have not tried Tru Color primer yet) I prefer Tru Color paint but I appreciate the way Scalecoat adhers to brass. Many more color choices with Tru Color, and it does not leave a toxic smell after painting. If you do use Scalecoat as a primer, be sure it has dried completely before applying Tru Color (or any other paint for that matter). I highly recommend thinning Tru Color before spraying. It can be thinned with acetone, but frankly, I use the Tru Color thinner because it seems to work better with the paint. I use acetone to clean my airbrush. Edited 1 time(s).
