I've done many diamonds in N Scale using Code 40 rail and I just use a dremel tool with a cutoff disc, cut the basic angle, then grind using the side of the disc. The rail is soldered into place on PC ties and any obvious gaps are filled with solder and filed to clean it up! The trick is to use an NMRA gauge and get the flange spacing perfect when soldering it.
