Model Railroading > Texas sized module haulerDate: 05/01/16 18:54 Texas sized module hauler Author: WrongWayMurphy We had our Tyler (TX) Cotton Belt Train Show this weekend and one of the modular
groups that came and set up was the always great and highly detailed ArkLaTex Club. Here is the rig they bring their modules in, and a typical cradle hauled in the trailer. Theirs is an HO club, by the way. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/01/16 19:03 by WrongWayMurphy. They run mostly SP and KCS trains, typical of East Texas and western Louisiana. In addition to quality modeling, they are a great bunch of guys. It is not a powered track, just added for the urban effect. Date: 05/03/16 17:19 Re: Texas sized module hauler Author: march_hare OK, here's a wild idea. Would it be possible to build a modular layout ( a BIG one...) inside COFC containers, and then position the containers next to each other for a show? if you're going to go to the bother of having a truck haul you around, why not go for a really big layout?
