Model Railroading > Rapido new product teaserDate: 05/27/16 06:36 Rapido new product teaser Author: rapidotrains Hi all,We've spent the last three months working on a revolutionary new HO scale project. This model will boldly go where no Rapido model has gone before. It truly is a new direction for us.
Below is a teensy-tiny part of it. The official launch will hopefully be next month. But we need to finish the video first.... and we haven't started it yet. Best regards, Jason Date: 05/27/16 06:59 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: BAB Its a hook to hang your engines on so they can be stored on a wall.llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll???????????

EO Date: 05/27/16 08:41 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: greasemonkey Hmmmmm.....boldly go eh? Sounds like a P42 to me, I mean, they do look like an old school shuttle craft.
Brian Date: 05/27/16 09:15 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: milwrdfan When I first saw the picture, a P42 is what popped into my head. Though, to say they're going in a totally new direction? I know Hornby came out about 15 years or so ago with a true live steam for HO. I wonder if Jason & friends are working on a working HO-scale FDL-16?

Radio controlled, battery powered locomotive? Or it could be HO scale models of the Enterprise, spin-offs and decendents. Date: 05/27/16 16:14 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: rapidotrains I can give you guys a bit more info. There are both Canadian and American paint schemes.
Has it been done before as a not-very-good model? Sort of. Ish. A bit. Yes and no. I can try to think up more wishy-washy terms. But the most accurate answer really is "kind of." That's about all I can say. I've been neck-deep in this for a LONG time and I have to be careful not to spill too many beans before the official launch. As with any of these teasers, some people won't give a hoot when we properly announce it because we can never do one model that everyone wants. But I think the interest in this project will be pretty far-reaching. And there is the potential for many more paint schemes and variations beyond what we will be announcing in the first run. -Jason Date: 05/27/16 16:48 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: boomer If this isn't a P40/P42 I am going to be very upset.
If it is, my pocketbook will be the one upset. Posted from Android Date: 05/27/16 18:00 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: kpcmcpkva Well, IT's VERY CLEAR that it won't be an EP 5 in N scale.
Keep up the good work and I will continue to wait and search Date: 05/27/16 18:19 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: bwyrick It's the FL9's bastard grandson, the P32AC-DM. The dual mode version of the P40/42, along with the aforementioned "Mud Missiles". Has it been done? Only via a Shapeways shell (the "sorta" in Jason's previous post).
All in all, probably not. At least, not right away. Brody Wyrick Reno, NV Date: 05/27/16 19:14 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: Thumper If i had my druthers a GMD SW200RS which weres more common than
those GMD-1 variants. Bryce Lee Burlington, Ontario Date: 05/27/16 22:00 Re: Rapido new product teaser Author: ACR_Ted RS18u - many of them built by the CPR and then sold off to both American and Canadian short lines.
