Model Railroading > For some Newby's and other's (like me)Date: 06/26/16 16:10 For some Newby's and other's (like me) Author: calsubd after coming home from the Tallahassee train show (Big Bend Model RR) with my new Axian Technology train case (wishing I bought 3), I went to work on the track again, when I emptied a box of cork,(Midwest HO cork) There was another storage / transfer box, will need a little lining but it'll work fine for the trip to the club.

I use Plano tackle boxes (clear plastic type) with foam on the bottom and engines in bubble wrap. These work great for HO scale since the dividers in the box are the right size for locomotives. Not a big fan of the boxes where you have to lay the engines on their side, since that can damage handrails and other parts. Axian is good for storage, but for transport to the club I have used the Plano boxes for years with no damage to the locomotives. Just a suggestion. Edited 1 time(s).
