Model Railroading > From long agoDate: 06/27/16 10:14 From long ago Author: tomstp The year I retired some friends put together a retirement steam ramble for me. The journey started in Albuquerque NM at Bill Severns track, then went to the Cumbres and Toltec and then to Mark Seibert's track in Walsenburg, Co.
1. That is me running Bill's D&RG 4-6-0 through the scrub pines. Bill is sitting on the train.. 2. Long time friend Fred Springer on his D&RGW 2-8-0. 3. Carlos, an engineer from the C&TS is running Harry Bean's SP 2-8-0. The trip was long but, fun going to Calgary, Alb, Vancouver, BC and Train Mountain in Oregon and running at all of those. Visited Tom Millers track in Portland.. By the time we finished my rear end was pretty worm out sitting on the engine tender. I especially remember us taking the 7.5 mile route at Train Mountain several times. Bill and I shared those runs since you would get real stiff running the engine that far. Edited 2 time(s).
