Model Railroading > UP Steam Cheyenne facilitiesDate: 06/30/16 19:32 UP Steam Cheyenne facilities Author: clayton5878 Does anyone know where to find the dimensions of the current UP Cheyenne roundhouse, back shop and depot. Or even the dimensions of the old roundhouse and back shop. I am looking to make the current facilities in n scale. Thanks

With Google Earth (the downloadable application, not the web page) you can measure a shape or distance. This does not work with street view mode. Zoom in to the area you want, and select the ruler icon. Here I am measuring the distance between the two parts of the crane. That's my photo of a tower that I built for sd39u! It certainly works, or at least well enough to get you in the ballpark.
