Model Railroading > BLtd T&P 2-10-4Date: 07/23/16 10:01 BLtd T&P 2-10-4 Author: tomstp I got a new Broadway LTD 2-10-4 yesterday. I ran the wheels off it and it performs beautifully. Using speed step 1 of 126 it crept up a 2 % grade with 30 cars with the drivers turning slow enough you could count the spokes and the sound of the exhaust doing it was fantastic. You got the feeling it was really fighting it out on the grade.
The model and its paint are superb. Broadway Ltd is sold out so if you did not order one you will have to find someone with one for sale. From what I have seen Broadway Ltd has kept improving their products and this engine is living proof of it. Yep, I am happy with it. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/23/16 18:22 by tomstp. Date: 07/23/16 13:11 Re: BLtd T&P 2-10-4 Author: tomstp List is $749.95 but there are a couple on ebay for $658.
Forgot to mention the engine has lighted class lights, and lighted smoke stack light, in addition to a brightly lighted cab when the engine is stopped. And, the backhead of the boiler in the cab really stands out with all the gauges in it. Date: 07/23/16 15:43 Re: BLtd T&P 2-10-4 Author: boomer Is that the correct shade of green on the boiler?

I can't wait. I paid $600 for mine. Glad to hear that it's worth the coin. Date: 07/24/16 08:16 Re: BLtd T&P 2-10-4 Author: Finderskeepers Just wondering if Broadway has improved its chuff? All the Broadway engines I have ever seen sound fine at low speeds, but as the speed increases, the chuff turns into something I can only describe as "electronica", and sounds horrible. MTH engines typically don't have as good whistle sounds as Broadway, but the exhaust always sounds good at all speed ranges. Wondering if this is still the case with the new 2-10-4?
