Baldwin Diesel MU Setup
Author: Lurch

Does anyone know if there is a HO manufacturer that makes end railings for baldwin switchers and road switchers with the pneumatic MU hoses?  I've copied this photo from Google for an example of what I'm looking for.  I was thinking about scratch building the MU platform, but if there is something off the shelf it would save some effort.

I also want this set up, but I am not aware of anyone making it.

Bowser did a decent job with the MU connections on their Monongahela S-12's - but i dont know if they offer the part separately

Not the same set-up. Sierra did it "SP Style" with two drop steps with the hoses in the middle.

I encourage somebody to do an extended discussion of Baldwin MU setups. They certainly were varied.

obviously yes - but in this case beggars cannot be choosers - a modication of an existing part or scratchbuilding is the only option at this point.

Bowser produced the "SP-style" configuration with the double drop steps, on a recent run of scarlet and gray SP S-12s.
