Model Railroading > CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River DivisionDate: 08/23/16 13:52 CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: bnsfbuff Two CitiRail ES44ACs were placed in service today on the BNSF Fall River Division. After being lightly weathered, adding a few more ounces or weight, minor reprogramming and a new speaker change, these units are ready for service!
Intermountain Railway did a great job with these units. John Parker Longmont, CO BNSF Fall River Division Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 08/23/16 13:58 by bnsfbuff. Mike DeBerg Bloomington, IL Date: 08/23/16 15:25 Re: CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: dal3294 Are the motors upgraded on these compared to previous runs? Headlights?
-Ryan N. Date: 08/23/16 15:57 Re: CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: Hookdragkick They look really good. Nothing like a couple heavy AC motors on the job.
As I write, 1327 is on a EB Long Beach Stack @ Ft Madi for Chicago, 1343 is slugging it out on a loaded Grainer in Vancouver, Wa. John Parker Longmont, CO BNSF Fall River Division Date: 08/24/16 07:45 Re: CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: brfriedm Looking nice John. I have one coming also. For the one question, these do have the new motors FYI.
Bruce Date: 08/24/16 08:29 Re: CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: bnsfbuff Thanks Bruce. Yes, you are correct - these have the new motors. Adding a few ounces of weigh also helps increase the pulling power. I use thin wheel balancing lead weights glued to the inside of the top of the shell.

What speaker did you change to? Gary B. Waverly, NE Date: 08/25/16 06:54 Re: CitRail ES44ACs Arrive on the BNSF Fall River Division Author: bnsfbuff I replace the round IM speaker with a DSM8 speaker, available from Railmaster Hobbies.
