My Frisco Roster-a piece at a time
Author: Frisco1522

Frisco started buying the 1500 series from Baldwin in the mid twenties and they were a hit.   There were actually three orders of them, 1500-1514, which were delivered with straight running boards, air reservoirs below the running boards and Baker valve gear.
This is a PFM Frisco 4-8-2 which was "backdated" and made into one of the first series.  People always confused these engines with the USRA Light 4-8-2 because of the profile.  They were bigger.  The 1501 is on display in Rolla, MO.
Can motor on an idler arm, Tsunami sound and lights.

Very nice Don. I've been waiting for you to post a model of the 1500 series.
We had a nice thread on 1501 in Rolla several years ago: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?10,1975692,1976083#msg-1976083

Your steam is a thing of beauty.  Do you model diesels too?  That's what I'd like to see!

That word isn't allowed in this house.  Steam only.

Not even gas-electrics, Don?

You have modeled some absolutely beautiful locos... beautifully.

I had a gas electric, but just sold it to another road.  It was attracting critters.  Also had a Baldwin VO1000 that went to the same road.  Now the RR is pure again.

DuPont Gloss Black with a touch of DuPont grey primer nitrocellulose lacquer.  That's what I used to use before you couldn't get it any more.  By far my favorite of all.
