One last test. Appears Apple has tweaked their encoding software. Pictures taken via iPhones or iPads operating iOS 10 can finally be uploaded directly to the Trainorders website. Woo!

I know on our RR, if there are two cover cars, they must be on the head end and the rear.

If you're pulling a loaded train....   On the empty return run they're commonly seen with both on the head end.

BNSF has a waiver with the FRA that allows one buffer car on either end of the train regardless if the train is loaded or empty. This allows them to add and remove DP power without going through the trouble of switching the buffer cars around.
