Conrail Horse Curve
Author: kecarden

Been doing some more bench work on Horseshoe Curve, The bench work is being built with different sections. The spot where it now is not the final spot. The curve will be move on the other side of the basement. On the back wall you see a photo from Backdrop Junction part of the center of th curve, it a 2 part photo. Just trying to get a feel on what it will look like. I will be building up the rock formation for the center of the curb and planting Scenic Express Trees up to the photo's

Looking good so far.  Just to make a suggestion if I may, it appears your using 1/4" plywood..... if so I would highly recomment usng some thicker stuff like 3/4".

Happy Modeling!

Looks great. And as I said on Facebook, staging the trains out like that is an important part of the daydreaming (I mean, "previsualizing") process!

Great effot and progress.  I would concur that you should be thinking of a heavier grade plywood.  The 1/4 will warp as it dries out and with scenery, ballast glue, and track painting.  On the plus side you could use the existing 1/4 as a template for the heavier grade stuff.
