3-Year Goal For Scale Trains Crew
Author: SD40T-2

OK, so the great guys and gals of the Scale Trains crew, here is what I wish to see in three years from today.. In three years, it will be mandatory for you to be driving arount the country, going to train shows, and doing your field work to measure locomotives, rolling stock and other railroadania, and railfanning in a really bichin (high-dollar) motorhome.  That way when you drive by, all of your groupies (like me) will be able to look in awe.  We just can not allow the Rapido team be the only rock stars in our hobby with their new magic bus...

'Sure am enjoying my 3-Unit Turbine #30, so flippin' amazing...

Cheers!  Mark

I've got a better idea. How 'bout we have the Scale Trains crew be SO SUCCESFUL that they buy out Athearn from Horizon and be the NUMBER ONE Model Train COMPANY IN THE WORLD. Personally, I could care less if you came to the train shows in a beat up VW bus.

All I care is they continue to do bussiness with my local retailer so I can continue to buy their great products.

Someone mentioned you may be doing the UP Heritage power cars in the future any comments on that? Got number 26 and two of the water bottles so far will be picking up two of the older versions next. Have looked at 26 but it still rests in its case am almost to the point of making a
track and cover for it and getting the other version to run................it looks better than I thought it would.

Hey Mark,

When Scale Trains comes to your town, they could park the motor home in your driveway. They could do the electrical hookup and empty their sewage tank in your back yard. Then u could wash the motor home by hand followed up by a hand wax. All the while the Scale Train's crew is inside your home eating all your food and drinking your liquor.  Finally, lets not for forget that you still need to completely clean the inside of the motor home and make sure she is fully vacuumed. Off you go to the supermarket to stock their bare shelves with all the best goodies. On the way home, you can top off their gas tank with the best premium gas.

Your a good customer my man. enjoy!  :)

Thanks for your vote of confidence in our team's abilities Mark.  Honestly, we're just ordinary folks who have been blessed by God with the opportunity to be able to chase our dreams.  Our 3-year goal is to earn the respect of modelers like yourself and be considered a top tier model railroad manufacturer.  We appreciate your business and support.

Thanks for your purchases and compliment on our "Big Blow" Turbine.  We're seriously considering expanding our UP Heritage fleet offerings.  We'll see what the future holds...

The future should bring U50C, ML4000, DH643 and C855    Then I could rest in peace  :-)

All the Best!

Fill from Austria!

Shane,

IMO, you guys already come to the table with the proven industry experience and have earned the respect of modelers.  Not withstanding what you guys have already delivered!   It's about your ability to keep the train moving, keep innovating, delivering high quality models, connecting/growing with the community and delivering best in class customer service which will keep you there.  Certainly being "ordinary folks" as you say, places you squarely in the far upper right quadrant, if we look at this in terms of your ability to execute and completeness of vision (Gartner Magic Quadrant reference).
