Serious Model RR 3D Printing: Cerec Milling Machine
Author: Westbound

Printing in 3D is no doubt a great and growing aspect of our hobby. For the really serious, consider what my dentist uses in his practice. The Cerec milling machine uses a computer along with a pen sized tool to measure and scan for very precise jobs. The printer is only slightly larger than a normal paper printer. The final product is made from a hard porcelain cube so does not wear out like plastic printed material. You can even find these things on EBay. Perhaps the ultimate tool for the smaller model RR gauges.
