They are great and the sound ist very good. If you need them for the GTEL8500, they have the right diesel engine sound and the turbine has lower frequency at the right amount! To separate the two sounds all you have to do is to use different channels and two speakers, one at each channel. One decoder could control both unit if they are electrically connected. Dont know right off hand which one Scale Trains uses but is way too shrill more like new turbines rather than older ones. Just got a message from Soundtraxx and they said one is in the works guess i will wait. Boyd
