Model Railroading > Northern Arizona Railroad paint schemeDate: 11/28/16 18:56 Northern Arizona Railroad paint scheme Author: Brakeman Still doing some trial paint schemes. Teal/Flesh is on the left. Teal/Ivory is on the right. I just wanted some of your opinions on which one you think is best. I might try a Teal/Light grey too. Anyhoo...suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! (I did it with a brush so I wouldn't have to clean my airbrush...just trying to get a concept going here. Criticism on the awful paint job is not welcome because that is an obvious.)

You might want to get a cheap Tyco freight car at a train show if you want to practice with different colors that way you don't have to worry damaging your good trains.
Matt Date: 11/28/16 19:57 Re: Northern Arizona Railroad paint scheme Author: CPR_4000 I vote for the ivory (right side) too.

It's more time consuming, but makes for crisp lines. and gets rid of the bleeding.

Using the flesh color you would need some dividing stripes between the green and the flesh - a red? mybe blue? Bob Date: 11/29/16 09:43 Re: Northern Arizona Railroad paint scheme Author: BEAR8216 I feel the one on the left represents the better southwest colors.

Steve Date: 11/29/16 18:59 Re: Northern Arizona Railroad paint scheme Author: SP4436 I'd try the grey first. Also I would move the paint line up on the car body closer to where BN had the green/black separation.
