Any info on that prized Pre-Order list that was to be passed on to the new 'boose?

So why not the name Caboose Hobbies?

It really is nice to see a new Hobby Shop opening up anywhere in our country. The best of everything to you, your partner "woof" and have a great New and prosperous New Year.

Probably to avoid any legal complications, even if Dwayne was OK with it, there could still be someone taking legal action against CH that could \get transfered over to the new owner.

Wish the new shop the best.  As has been noted, any new shop opening is a real breath of fresh air in 2016.

I wish him and his partner the best, any store that has a mascot has always seemed more friendly than one without. Other half does quitls many have a cat or dog that is very friendly.  Soon it will be open and one has to know the owner is biting his nails waiting for that day.

From someone who has done this before, based on these photos, the amount of work left is STAGGERING!  And, once you actually get everything where you THINK it should go, so you can open your doors for business, things will constantly need to be moved and adjusted and on and on and on.  When you walk into a long established, well stocked hobby shop, where it is obvious that the owner cares, it took years of work for it to get that way.  All that said, I am quite envyous of anyone who opens a new train shop and wish these folks all the very best of success.

From the photo's it looks like the new guy is doing this up big time.  I wish him well and hope he can be a real success which I know isn't easy these days - so many people say the best way to make a small fortune in the hobby is to start with a big fortune.

Looks like the latest update to the website says that the grand re-opening celebration will be in early January!
