Skookum is skill making restoration progress, although it shares labor pool with other locomotives nearby so it's kind of slow going. The shop is so cramped it is difficult to get a picture without it being outside. Here is a super-wide pic I took a few months ago on a visit. Author: fbe This looks so much like a medium 2-8-2 boiler with drive set up for tight curves. The loco likely gave more speed on straight track than a geared locomotive yet was still able to negotiate tighter curves than an 8 coupled locomotive.
