Model Railroading > Showing pink!Date: 01/11/17 21:50 Showing pink! Author: ghemr Here's a lightly weathered American Limited Trinity 3281 covered hopper. Some paint modifications were in order------roofwalk painted silver, top roof surface painted gray, roof hatches painted light gray and bottom gates painted reefer gray............

Your mods were severely needed--American Limited dropped the ball. Now it looks much more respectable: more proto; less toyish. Posted from Android Date: 01/12/17 05:22 Re: Showing pink! Author: Bob3985 So are you in Kansas? Noticing the tornadoes on your backdrops. That is quite a storm.

Author: bnsftcdiv Halliburton has many hoppers transporting sand for fracking (proppant) Most were gray, and not all were Trinity builds. (NSC or Gunderson) There are only a few pink ones(All Trinity that I've seen), I've seen 7 and they were all moving thru La Crosse, Wisconsin at the time I took the photos that Am Limited asked me for and used to make the car. To be fair to them, I couldn't get shots of the roof without MAJOR trespassing as they were a bit distant in the BNSF yard. So American Limited didn't have roof color detail, or much lower detail.
