Kadee running boards

Does anybody have any suggestions on what kind of adhesive to splice them together with or what they're made of? I'm running out of things to try.

Scuff up the ends with some sandpaper or similar, clean with rubbing alcohol and use CA glue. A two part epoxy may work too.

Several members of the Steam Era Freight Car Modelling Group on Yahoo swear by canopy cement.

Plastruct's Plastic Weld works.

Thanks all. I got one to stay together but they seem to be some sort of engineering plastic some I'm not sure how good the joint is. If not, I have brass ones on order.

Kadee sells car parts including running boards for moderate prices.  They have an advantage over brass in that the are closer to scale thickness.  Oxide red, boxcar red, black and galvanized.

Yes, that's what I did. The problem is I need them to be 34 feet so I cut them down and am having trouble splicing them back together. I'm converting 2 bay offset side hoppers to covered hoppers for sand service similar to this.

I already ordered brass ones but I might try that so I know for next time. Thanks.
