I was looking for a way to fill autoracks (the IM see-thru cars) and found these car kits for $16.00/16 vehicles...here is a kit to look at.....

Unfortunately they have to be purchased in 16-car assortments and cannot be purchased in quantity for one model. 

Still, they are nicely detailed, have full interiors, opening doors, are pre-painted and have rubber tires and decent wheels. Not bad for a buck a piece.

You can find them online, and are made in China I believe.

I'm also finding pricing above what you stated, so maybe you have a link on that price?

Here is a price update.....I now see 16 cars for US $19.80 .

search "4D model cars" on that auction site and you come up with several 
different scales and styles

What waa your clue that they "might be made in China"?

"There you go again" buying foreign models when Rustbelters are jobless! Buy up all you can now, because come Friday, things will change--1 model will = $16.00! Take that Mao, or whomever you are now!

I found an online review (search for 4D model made in China -- Model Auto Review) of these "models" that suggested (to me) they might be suitable for viewing from a distance inside an autorack. The review indicated that the kits seemed to be ripoffs of other makers of substantially higher quality model cars.
