The project took about three weeks.  I didn't post the first set of photos until after I had been working on it for a few days.  I'm retired and was able to spend 4-5 hours almost every day working on it.  The project area where the rebuild took place is about 30 square feet in size.  Things go quickly working in 1/2 inch scale.  Of course, scratch-building a trolley car or interurban is a different story.  That could take months.  If you look closely, you can see that I am definitely not a fine scale modeler like TR member Warren Preis.  I am in awe of people who can do the kind of work that he does in 1/2 inch scale. I subscribe to the "good enough for me; then, let the cars loose to run" school of modeling.

...and, you have time to go trackside to post 1:1 photos as frequently seen on the Eastern discussion board.

Fortunately, for the rebuild, we have had a lot of days where the weather has not been very good for photography which kept me in the basement. On the couple of days that I was able to get trackside, I was only out and about for an hour or two each time.

Holy S**t! If that is just good enough, I would hate to see anything less. Fantastic work. Everytime you post I have to look. Is there a post of the trackplan anywhere?

No, but I'll work on that for a future update and post.

Dick,

As always, it looks great.  It seems that every time you do something, it turns out better than before.  I particularly like that shot through the archway.

Best regards,

Warren Weiss
