Date: 02/17/17 07:41 Re: Model train identification needed Author: FiveChime Neat! As more of the older people who grew up with this stuff are passing on, there seems to be less interst and value in vintage Marx, Lionel, and American Flyer.
Regards, Jim Evans Date: 02/17/17 07:49 Re: Model train identification needed Author: Chooch LIONEL track, Marx trains, Marx transformer and looks like some Erector Set miscellaneous hardware. Value in as is condition, less than $100.00.
Jim Hatboro, PA Date: 02/17/17 09:29 Re: Model train identification needed Author: HB90MACH There is no " less interest" there is a rapidly growing interest in these old sets. Lionel has been reproducing them . Values are going.up fast.
Date: 02/17/17 14:02 Re: Model train identification needed Author: jo-tower That is MARX track.
CJV in Illinois Date: 02/17/17 14:08 Re: Model train identification needed Author: JimBaker Marx trains need MARX switches as the Geared driver is the same diameter as the flange.
Lionel switches will not pass Marx without climbing the frog or guaed rails. James R.(Jim) Baker Whittier, CA Date: 02/17/17 14:15 Re: Model train identification needed Author: CPR_4000 Looks like 2-rail track?
Date: 02/17/17 14:27 Re: Model train identification needed Author: markloos It's all 3 rail track. mark <><
Date: 02/17/17 17:40 Re: Model train identification needed Author: algoma11 The parts look like Mecanno!
Mike Bannon St Catharines, ON Date: 02/18/17 10:44 Re: Model train identification needed Author: Westbound A Marx train set (not including the unrelated toy parts) like this one sold for $18.97 retail around 1950. Today, out west at a swap meet it would be offered at about $30 and would likely sell for less, based on its condition.
