Model Railroading > Steel Mill Loads on the 2017 Penn CentralDate: 02/19/17 09:17 Steel Mill Loads on the 2017 Penn Central Author: navarch2 I found a source for steel mill product loads at Springfield - Ken MCorry can chime in on the name of the firm, (I lost the receipt) but they make really nice steel product loads - mine were in HO...properly stenciled and where appropriate they come with a steel support frame for the car...
Here are three of them... Picture #1 is a pair of large diameter pressure tank heads..... Picture #2 is a steel plate load....both it and the first one had a fabricated steel support ffor the item that also came with the load.... Picture #3 is a load for a 65 foot car of WF beams... The loads are also nicely painted.... Bob Date: 02/19/17 09:33 Re: Steel Mill Loads on the 2017 Penn Central Author: Kemacprr The company is called Load Man. Good friend Dick Yemenijian is the owner/builder of these loads. He has targeted the HO scale market as his main market but he heas produced both N and O scale loads . He makes plate racks and plate, pipe and steel structural loads. The dish loads were new this year . They were a test to see how they would sell. I have a large number of his loads that my steel mill ships out every op session. He makes the structural loads for both the 52' long gons Tangent and LL/Proto and modern 65' long gons. He also makes loads that will fit in the narrower 65' 50's era gons like the Athearn and old E&B cars. Pipe loads can vary from a 40' car to a 89' car. . He can be contacted at ry98@ymail.com He normally only sells at the Springfield Mass .show and at the Valley Forget RPM which meets every two years. The Valley Forge RPM next meet will be 2018 by the way. --------- Ken McCorry

In todays, H shape steel loads, you can see plenty of them loaded on todays bulk head flats. They make a great load and look sharp on any layout....
