Monroe, WA this weekend, anything exciting?
Author: fbe

I plan on driving west for the swap meet and have been wondering what might be going on besides the usual large sales activities. Manufacturers? Clinics?

Thanks

Nothing on these pages:

Is it mostly N-scale or do other scales participate?

The last two years I have gone, LOTS of HO. I don't pay much attention to N and O account there is a lot of territory to cover. Compared to what I normally get to see in western Montana and eastern Washington Monroe is HUGE.

I hope the roads are good.

The Pacific Northwest RPM crew will be there with their for-sale tables. Time for the annual train room purge....   :-)

The first day was pretty busy and there is a wide variety of scales N-HO-S-O and large scale with books and railroadiana. Several large layouts in operation are there for entertainment.

I have made a few purchases of sought after merchandise and am going back today to spend more layout and another pass through the Phillip C. Johnson photos for sale.

My second day was far more spendy than my first but I did more poking around in piles and bought a couple of locos and out of print books. There was a very limited choice of DCC products.

Vendors I know and had a visit with report it was a very good weekend. Most portable layouts were round and round going way too fast.

RPM event April 29 at the same fairground location.
